Routes

Visitors can discover Palafrugell through 3 main routes: the Josep Pla Route, named after an illustrious native writer, which goes through the places that are linked to his life and work; the Watchtower Route, which discovers these buildings distributed throughout the town that date from the Fourteenth to the Eighteenth centuries; and the Cork Route, an industry which deeply shaped the city’s history and evolution.

The city’s cultural and shopping activity concentrates in the centre of Palafrugell, in the pedestrian area located near the church and the old wall, where tourists can find many restaurants, bars, shops and museums. In Palafrugell and the surrounding area, It is highly recommended to visit the Late-Gothic church of Sant Martí, the old Casa Rosés, the Cork Museum, the Josep Pla Monument, the Cap Roig Botanical Gardens (Calella), the Iberian settlement of La Guarda or the Sant Sebastià Lighthouse and its viewpoint.
